So you want to make a great article on the EQLore Wiki? Well you've come to the right place.
In addition to information, we are looking for a particular layout - we want players to be able to come to the wiki and see the lore presented in a clean and readable format. Therefore strive to categorize things appropriately and make an aesthetically appealing article.
Please note for the time being our templates are not working correctly, so infoboxes are out of the question.

What Kind of Information We're Looking For
We want only verifiable canon information. That means if it isn't from the game, it doesn't go here - exceptions include special parts of an article that specifically note that the information is from a source other than the game itself. For example, creating an entire subsection entitled Unofficial Lore.
What we'd really like, in addition to the obvious, is some of the deeper, harder to get things. Everyone knows Cazic Thule is the god of fear, but what are some of the things he's done on Norrath? How has he interacted with the other gods?
Chronological Outlines
Unless the format is such that it would hinder its quality, try to keep the display of information chronological. So don't put in an article about Antonius Bayle his execution of Bloodsaber leaders before his flirtatious relationship with Lady Shae unless the articles' sections mandate that.
A time when this would be more or less acceptable is if the explanation of his dealing with Bloodsabers is outlined in the Stance on Law section or things of this nature. Situations where general events for example are not withstanding, try to keep the information chronological.
Opinions
Try to keep them to yourself. We have a template for posting disputes of neutrality - use this on any article that appears to be too heavily opinionated in one way or another. Try to base your information solely on facts, and not intermingle your own prejudices for or against characters/stories.
To this end, leave out adjectives like "Antonius Bayle is a beacon of light and wonderful wonderfulness of all the wonderful kind who can do no wrong". Strive to make this information encyclopedic.
Sections
Always try to separate your articles into sections. You can take a brief glance at the source code for this page to learn how to make sections. It's rather simple.
Simply put == before and after a word, and it will separate it into a section, assigning it a special box up top with its own corresponding link.
Subsections
Always be sure to put in subsections - if you're talking about crime and punishment in Qeynos, be sure to put in subsections such as how Antonius Bayle expects his officers to conduct themselves, examples of how he dealt with Bloodsabers etc. etc.
Images
Use as many images as possible to get your point along. Don't be afraid to image out your entry.
Remember to Make it Encyclopedic
At the EQLore wiki we are striving to make this the one stop shop for all EverQuest lore. Therefore, please strive to make all of your entries as detailed as possible and as like an encyclopedia as possible.
